I have been a creative arts therapist for 5+ years, working in both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings. I graduated in 2018 from Long Island University Post with my Masters of Arts in Clinical Art Therapy and Counseling. I started my private practice in 2020, during the height of the pandemic, as a way to give people affordable online telehealth therapy services. I am versed in both art therapy and talk therapy, and also have a lot of experience with a variety of mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, schizophrenia, bipolar and more. I have also worked with a variety of age groups starting from children 5+, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. I continue to use my private practice as an online platform where individuals can get affordable therapy and counseling in their lives. It is my mission to be a supportive figure in my client's lives and someone comfortable to connect with and learn more about why your brain does what it does. I am constantly learning and educating myself in areas of mental health and love to share this knowledge so clients can better their understanding of themselves and their minds. Together, minds can heal here.
As per the American Art Therapy Association, Art Therapy is a mental health profession that enriches the lives of individuals, families, and communities through active art-making, creative process, applied psychological theory, and human experience within a psychotherapeutic relationship.
Art therapy, facilitated by a professional art therapist, effective supports personal and relational treatment goals as well as community concerns. Art therapy is used to improve cognitive and sensorimotor functions, foster self-esteem and self-awareness, cultivate emotional resilience, promote insight, enhance social skills, reduce and resolve conflicts and distress, and advance societal and ecological change.
Online talk therapy gives individuals the possibility to connect with a therapist more readily and efficiently. Talk therapy is one of the main forms of psychotherapy, and in my practice, I use a combination of holistic and humanistic styles to provide clients an overall connective experience.
I have been practicing online talk therapy for 3+ years and providing my clients an affordable and accessible way to get therapy. Even though I am licensed in art therapy, I have a background in counseling and psychotherapy and have done individual person-centered talk therapy for my entire career.
